How person re-identification (RE-ID) works with Computer Vision | Opencv with Python
Просмотров 5 тыс.4 месяца назад
Tracking people inside shopping centers or airports is a complex operation to carry out. Normally a tracking algorithm is used, and this is often sufficient, but when there are occlusions or small changes in the person's position this may no longer be sufficient. In these cases it is necessary to implement more sophisticated algorithms, for example, Person Re-Identification with OSNet is useful...

    This has been a very interesting series. I just stumbled on the series, followed and built the examples. I would have to say that initially I was kind of lost about the approach - it seemed kind of slow and tedious. But after following all of the episodes, each built on the previous and the examples were clear. However,, I'm a bit confused about this 7th installment and have a question and would like some clarification. In all of the installments, the examples were based on a single neuron. So the 3 by 3 horizontal and vertical images resulted in 9 input values feeding the single neuron with its own unique set of weights. But if we add another neuron, isn't it the case that the new neuron will have its own weights. In other words, a layer consists of potentially multiple neurons. And it seems to me that the Layer class in this example is actually a neuron class. I would think that the layer class would contain some number of neurons. I confess I am new to neural networks so I only have a very basic understanding. So if I'm missing something, can you clarify? Thank you.

    Hi, Would it be possible to detect the speed of vehicles, but with a camera at the same horizontal level as them? That is to say, a view which is not plunging, as in your example. We have a street; we place a camera on a pole about six feet high. We record passing vehicles and later, using Open CV or other programs, we are able to obtain the speed of everything in the camera's field of view. Of course, we took the distances beforehand, for example using a 100-foot measuring tape. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

    Hi, I am developing a system that detects if the object is damaged. This detection is done in an uncontrolled environment, by which I mean under different weather conditions, scales and rotations. As we have little data, and we probably won't be able to obtain more, I'm thinking about using "feature matching" since it's likely that Yolo and similar techniques won't be robust. Have you tried using "feature matching"?

    • @pysource-com
      @pysource-com 2 месяца назад

      nope, it would be very unreliable that way. Data is very important for the accuracy, so I would focus on that aspect first

    • @joaobarreira5221
      @joaobarreira5221 Месяц назад

      @@pysource-com Hi, Maybe I wasn't precise about the amount of my data. I have a lot of data on the undamaged object and I can acquire more. What I'm missing are more images of the damaged object and I can't acquire more. The dataset is very unbalanced. I think I have enough data to train a "feature matching" model and I can combine it with other models, such as Object detection + "zernike moments", ... I don't think I have enough data to create a robust model with yolo or for simple classification. Do you know of other techniques that can result in robust models?
